Purpose and Scope
The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role supports operational efficiency, workplace safety, and compliance with company standards by performing routine and specialized cleaning duties in industrial areas.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize production floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
Remove trash, scrap materials, and debris from work areas
Clean machinery exteriors, equipment surfaces, and workstations following safety guidelines
Mop, sweep, vacuum, and scrub floors, including use of industrial cleaning equipment
Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom materials
Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials
Identify and report safety hazards, spills, or maintenance issues
Comply with all safety rules, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
Maintain cleaning logs and complete assigned checklists
Support special cleaning projects, shutdowns, or deep-clean efforts as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
Experience operating floor scrubbers, pressure washers, or similar equipment
Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE usage
Physical Demands and Work Environment
