Learn more about the benefits of joining Team UES and our core values at careers.teamues.com.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Plans, designs, and directs engineering testing projects such as predevelopment, geotechnical design and where necessary civil design support by performing the following duties.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform geotechnical field investigations, including soil borings, test pits, and groundwater observations.\nObserve and document construction activities such as:\nEarthwork and grading\nDeep foundation installation\nRetaining wall construction\nGround improvement operations\nConcrete and asphalt placement\nConduct field testing in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and project specifications\nCollect soil, rock, asphalt and concrete samples for laboratory testing and evaluation.\nPrepart detailed field reports documenting observations, testing results, and construction progress.\nAssist with troubleshooting geotechnical and construction-related issues in the field.\nSupport Virtual Design efforts through coordination of geotechnical data ad construction documentation.\nReviewe construction plans, subsurface data, and field conditions to support coordination efforts.\nUtilize software platforms such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bluebeam or other VDC related tools as needed.\nSupport project managers with scheduling, reporting and technical documentation.\nPrepares cost proposals and designs scope of work for prospective clients.\nCalculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.\nAttends meetings to present technical data to the client and other professionals.\nPrepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules and designs for project.\nOther duties as assigned\n\nJob Responsibilities Note:\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Master's degree (M.S.) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred. Two years of experience required.\nValid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.\nAbility to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nMust be able to read and understand construction blueprints, and both technical and operational information.\nAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\nBasic Microsoft Office skills.\nAble to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on producing high-quality work.\nAbility to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience in the AEC-consulting industry\nExperience utilizing a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) device\nExperience working outdoors in Florida\nTravel Requirements:\nThis position requires extensive travel, approximately up to 70% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments.
