Motor Pack Technician

Total Directional is seeking a skilled and motivated PDM Motor Pack Technician to join our collaborative team. This role plays a critical part in the assembly and servicing of downhole drilling tools (mud motors), ensuring precision, safety, and reliability in every build.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble mud motor bearing packs in accordance with Total Directional’s standard operating proceduresMaintain accurate service records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliantOperate and maintain motor shop equipment including lathes, vices, gauges, calipers, and specialized toolingCollaborate with technicians and supervisors to troubleshoot equipment and minimize downtimeFollow technical service manuals and verbal/written instructions with precisionUphold safety standards and company policies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentRequired Knowledge & SkillsProficient in using C-mics, calipers, T-gauges, and other precision measurement toolsStrong written communication skills and attention to detail in documentationExperience operating cranes, forklifts, and front-end loadersHands-on experience assembling mud motor bearing packs using motor shop equipmentSolid understanding of downhole drilling motors, their components, and service proceduresAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructionsMechanically inclined with a proactive approach to troubleshootingKnowledge of safety principles and ability to identify and report unsafe conditionsEffective verbal and interpersonal communication skillsReliable transportation is requiredWhy Join Us?At Total Directional, we believe in teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
