The Lead Distribution Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to all members of the Distribution group.\nThis position may be based in Lake Mary, FL; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Las Vegas, NV, Boise, ID; Raleigh, NC; or Fort Worth, TX.\nResponsibilities Knowledge of electrical distribution system design engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.\nSupports the Design Engineering Manager by handling some of the supervisory and management tasks for a smaller subset of the team.\nProblem identification and resolution.\nProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and effectively manage workloads for assigned team members.\nCoordinate task assignments to maximize staff utilization.\nReview of completed designs and design products to ensure compliance with client, industry, and regulatory requirements.\nReview of design products to ensure compliance with quality and consistency expectations.\nAbility to apply client, industry and regulatory standards and requirements to existing distribution system components.\nAbility to effectively communicate with internal, client and regulatory counterparts.\nAbility to maintain production in a changing environment.\nIdentify and promote training opportunities.\nProvides support to recruiting including interviews and attendance at college career fairs.\nMinimum Qualifications BS Engineering Degree and 6+ years of distribution engineering experience.\nKnowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards.\nStrong computer and communication skills.\nWillingness to learn and operate client provided programs and systems.\nProven history of successfully attaining results in a production environment.\nAbility to travel up to 20 - 25% of the time to client sites (expected to travel at least one time per month) for project and/or marketing meetings.\nBenefits & Compensation Qualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.\nThe final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
