Summit’s nine facilities are located across California, Illinois, Colorado, and Toronto, Canada. The lab technician position is available in our Orange, CA facility.\n\nAbout the Role:\nThe Lab Tech's responsibility is to provide support to Quality and the Process Departments through analyses and process monitoring.\n\nResponsibilities:\nPerform chemical analyses.\nCalculate chemical make-ups.\nMake chemical additions or notify wet process operators of required adds.\nData entry into the Lab SPC software program (True-Chem).\nUtilize the Atomic Absorption for analyses.\nUtilize the CMI for surface finish thickness verification.\nProper setup, use, cleaning, and shutdown of lab equipment.\nUpdating and maintaining laboratory files and logs.\nCommunication with appropriate personnel for product disposition.\nLab inventory control.\nProvide chemical and performance data for process troubleshooting.\nPrioritize lab workload accordingly.\nSPC chart generation and incorporation of SPC Tools.\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment to adhere to safety and quality standards.\nParticipate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to manufacturing processes.\nMust be willing to work overtime when required, including weekends.\n\nCompensation/Benefits:\nSummit offers a variety of health and benefit programs which include 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays.
