This role partners with key Hospitality, Operations and Marketing leaders to ensure operational excellence and efficiency and to deliver an exceptional guest experience.\n\nSPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. It may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary.\n\nMaintains service and operational standards while remaining within agreed budgets on guest and cleaning supplies, salaries and any miscellaneous costs which apply to the department.\nLiaison with all relevant department heads and managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of hotel and public areas.\nMonitors closely the condition and maintenance of all work areas and prepare appropriate work request forms.\nEnsures all assigned team members attend job safety training programs, (i.e., OSHA Standards, HazCom, and Bloodborne Pathogens in co-operations with Guest Safety/Risk Management.)\nResponsible for assisting in the ordering/purchasing of all related cleaning chemicals and materials required for hotel and public areas operations.\nResponsible for assisting in the control of issuing, receiving, and replacing departmental keys.\nResponsible for overseeing the team members, stock levels, inventory, and control of par levels in hotel and public areas.\nMaintains personal contact with guests in dealing with complaints, etc.\nKnowledge of special events and impact on workflow for all areas always, for future and present dates.\nControlling payroll costs ensuring sufficient coverage at any given time.\nRegularly check appearance and uniforms of the staff.\nCheck that the attitude is always exceptional.\nEnsure service is always exceptional.\nEnsure service is always of the highest degree.\nEnsure that operating equipment is always in perfect working condition.\nCreate an atmosphere of high morale and a happy working relationship among team members.\nAssist in administering to assigned team members the company Policies and Procedures pertaining to regulations and standards.\nEnsure the productivity and efficiency of supervisors and team members by constantly overseeing work done.\nEnsure that workspace, office and public area and tower storage rooms are always clean and tidy.\nAssist in Preparing weekly work schedules and weekly attendance sheet.\nPrepares departmental reports as required.\nMaintains harmony among team members and resolves grievances.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nSTANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE\nAbility to maintain high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nAbility to maintain important levels of confidentiality and integrity.\nMaintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nWillingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.\nMust be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer focused.\nAvailable to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.\nSelf-motivated with attention to detail\nREGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:\nIn addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.\nAttend required training sessions offered by the Company.\nObtain and retain required license(s).\nPerform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.\nTake the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.\nHave knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.\nHave knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.\nReport any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.\n\nEDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nEquivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant, and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.\nMust have schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, holiday shifts and overtime when needed.\nGood verbal and written communication skills required.\nKnowledge of housekeeping service techniques and productivity expectations.\nAbility to identify and prioritize issues.\nMust be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.\nCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License\nValid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
