Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer oversees the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This role provides advanced technical leadership, mentors engineering staff, and serves as a senior technical resource within the electrical discipline.The Senior Electrical Engineer leads discipline-specific work on medium to large projects and may also serve as a Project Manager on select assignments.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesLead electrical discipline design for medium and large projects, with limited use of RevitDelegate moderate to complex tasks and provide technical oversightReview and approve complex designs, calculations, and simulationsReview high-level product submittals and shop drawingsProvide detailed responses to complex Requests for Information (RFIs)Conduct targeted site visits to resolve critical field issuesPrepare technical reports and project documentationParticipate in project meetings as a senior technical advisorEnsure project delivery meets schedule, quality, and budget objectivesDevelop project work plans and adjust as needed to accommodate scope changesMentor engineers at all levels on technical standards, procedures, and best practicesProvide team leadership and technical supportQualificationsEducation & LicensureBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure requiredExperience9+ years of progressive experience in the AEC industryHealthcare project experience preferredTechnical SkillsExpertise in multiple engineering software platformsAdvanced knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and QA/QC proceduresLeadership & Management SkillsDemonstrated experience leading and guiding multidisciplinary project teamsStrong commitment to staff development, training, and mentorshipCommunication & Business SkillsExcellent client-facing, communication, and presentation skillsProficient in technical writing and contributing to proposalsSupervisory ResponsibilityActs as a technical advisor and mentor to assigned electrical engineering staff. May seal and sign project documents where licensed. Responsible for the training, education, and quality oversight of electrical discipline deliverables.Work EnvironmentHybrid role that is primarily office-based with periodic site visits for field investigation and troubleshooting. Adherence to safety protocols is required.Physical DemandsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods, operate standard office equipment, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
