Make an impact by connecting and securing critical operations across the globe, keeping our country safe and secure.\nJob Description\nGDIT is seeking an Network Administrator Associate to help support our Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.\n\nAs a Network Administrator Associate, you will join our team with responsibilities for the management and maintenance of site network devices. You will maintain network device configurations, troubleshoots performance and routing issues, supports engineers in the deployment and validation of patching and upgrades, and implements standard approved changes to ensure network system availability, performance, and security. You will provide analysis and monitoring of network infrastructure and network performance. You will also assist in proactive network monitoring, network management, and network infrastructure planning.\n\nHOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:\n\nManages the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN). Monitors data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Troubleshoots and resolves problems.\nCollaborates directly with GDIT team leads and AF client on planning and procedures\nAbility to operate under supervision\nExecute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks\nManage COTS & GOTS products to collect, display and remediate a variety of automated system security and system operations/performance functions and metrics\nFollow Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly O&M checklists); build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists\nOperate monitoring tools/capabilities with the enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) and create/tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reports\nAssist in analyzing technical risk, upon request, of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes\nWork as part of a security incident response team as needed\nMaintains network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.\nUtilizes IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.\nMaintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.\nParticipates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.\nInterfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.\nAssists with the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.\nParticipates in network software upgrades, moderations tasks and installs\nWorks after-hours and weekends during maintenance windows on-site as needed\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:\n\nSecurity Clearance Level: Active Secret\nCertification: Current DoD 8570 IAT level II/8140 equivalent (CompTIA Security+ CE or similar)\nEducation: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree\nExperience: 1+ years of related experience\nTechnical Skills:\nExperience working directly with hardware vendors involved in the incident resolution process.\nProvides Tier II support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.\nSupports the timely escalation and communication of status to external and internal customers.\nExperience with various software systems and architectures, communications protocols: and network hardware devices.\nExperience with STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities\nNOC/SOC operations background – you've been in the trenches and know what works\nIncident management expertise with a track record of managing complex, multi-team responses\nSkills and Abilities: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.\nLocation: On Customer Site in Andersen AFB, Guam\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nCertification(s):\n- ITIL V3/4 Foundation or higher\n- DOD 8140 (CASP+, CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, CISA, CISSP, GSLC), aka SecurityX\n\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\n#BIM\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n1 + years of related experience\nmay vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\nCertification\nSecurity+, CE - Sec+ CE - Sec+ CE\nTravel Required\nLess than 10%\nCitizenship\nU.S. Citizenship Required\nSalary and Benefit Information\nThe likely salary range for this position is $71,400 - $96,600.
