For more information about NEBCO, visit www.nebcoinc.com.\nPosition Summary\nConstructors Inc. is looking for a highly motivated individual to maintain equipment and vehicle operation by completing inspections and preventative maintenance requirements, correcting vehicle deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments, and keeping records by performing the following duties. $5000 Hiring Bonus!\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nDetermines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and identifying worn and damages parts.\nKeeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades and controlling corrosion.\nPerforms all work in accordance with schedules, policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety.\nCorrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts or systems—such as power and drive trains, electrical air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering hydraulics, completes machine shop operations.\nMakes alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, hydraulics, pneumatic and traction units.\nVerifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.\nComplies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety and combustion control standards.\nMaintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing and painting.\nMaintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.\nKeeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.\nShop tools are provided by company. Employee must provide a full general toolbox with some special tools.\nMust continue to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical journals and regulation publications.\nEnhances maintenance department and organization by reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.\nMaintains and assures cleanliness and neatness of shop area. Assures safety standards are met.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nPosition Requirements and Education\nRequires a vocational/technical diploma; and 4 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic doing fleet maintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.\nMust have a valid driver's license.\nMust have a valid driver's license (Class C) to occasionally drive non commercial vehicles.
