This role drives the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and builds scalable accounting infrastructure to support rapid growth and acquisitions. The Controller partners cross-functionally with Treasury, FP&A, IT, and executive leadership to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and develop a high-performing accounting team.Essential Duties:Financial Close & ReportingLead and standardize the monthly and quarterly close process across business units, targeting a 5-day closeDrive completion and accuracy of month-end close activitiesPrepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAPOversee monthly flux analysis, accrual methodologies, and journal entry reviewPrepare audit-ready financial statements and footnotesImplement automation initiatives to reduce manual processesConsolidation & ControlsStandardize consolidation and reporting processesDevelop scalable internal controls in preparation for SOX complianceEstablish and maintain a practical internal control and enterprise risk management frameworkEnsure adherence to accounting policies and company specificationsDecision Support & Strategic PartnershipProvide analytical insights on cost of revenue, supply chain spending, pricing, and strategic initiativesPartner with IT to strengthen financial systems and controlsEstablish a reporting cadence highlighting key business drivers and actionable insightsTreasury & Cash Management SupportCollaborate with Treasury on policy development and banking practicesSupport cash flow forecasting and reportingEnsure timely completion of bank reconciliationsPartner with shared services to optimize AP/AR processes and collectionsTax & ComplianceOversee domestic tax compliance and regulatory requirementsManage external tax advisors to optimize tax positionsTalent DevelopmentBuild and lead a high-performing accounting teamDevelop training programs and documentationProvide ongoing coaching, accountability, and performance feedbackMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accountingCPA, preferred, but not required, with experience from a Big 4 accounting firm or extensive corporate accounting experience.Minimum of 12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 205, ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842).Familiarity with Netsuite, Billing, Corporate card, Procurement, and Financial Close ToolsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsExceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with very little guidanceWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
