This position focuses on the construction and general trades portion of commercial elevator modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, carpentry, drywall, painting, demolition, concrete work, and general building maintenance.\nThis is a hands-on position working in hospitals, office buildings, apartment complexes, parking garages, government facilities, and commercial buildings throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.\nResponsibilities\nPerform demolition and construction activities associated with elevator modernization projects.\nBuild, modify, and repair elevator machine rooms and hoistway-related structures.\nInstall and repair drywall, framing, plywood backboards, and wall finishes.\nPatch and paint machine rooms, lobbies, and elevator entrances.\nPerform hoistway patching and fire stopping.\nInstall pit ladders, safety barriers, and access platforms.\nAssist with machine room modifications, including wall penetrations and equipment support installations.\nInstall conduit sleeves, backing, blocking, and miscellaneous construction items required for electrical and elevator equipment.\nPerform concrete patching and minor masonry repairs.\nInstall doors, access panels, louvers, and related building components.\nCoordinate with electricians, elevator mechanics, HVAC technicians, and fire alarm contractors.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nComplete daily reports and document project progress.\nFollow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications\n3+ years of commercial construction experience.\nExperience with drywall finishing and painting.\nExperience with framing and carpentry.\nExperience operating power tools and construction equipment.\nAbility to read drawings and construction documents.\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision.\nValid driver's license with acceptable driving record.\nAbility to travel to job sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with any of the following is a plus:\nElevator modernization projects\nCommercial renovations\nFire stopping systems\nMachine room construction\nConcrete repair\nWaterproofing\nMetal framing\nWelding and fabrication\nCommercial painting\nDoors, frames, and hardware installation\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift 75 pounds.\nAbility to climb ladders and work in elevator pits, machine rooms, and construction environments.\nAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods.\nComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nWhy Work With Us?\nOur team specializes in elevator modernization and commercial construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
