This position will primarily support our facilities in Gaston County, NC, with occasional support in Charlotte, Burlington, and other locations in the general area. The role is focused on networking skills (Cisco/Meraki) to support switches, wireless, and firewall infrastructure, while also requiring strong front-line support skills for Windows environments. Experience with servers and VMware is a plus.\nThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record in troubleshooting network and desktop issues, supporting end users, and working with enterprise IT systems. We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, high character, and exceptional problem-solving ability.\n\nResponsibilities\nSupport and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco/Meraki switches, access points, routers, and firewalls.\nInvestigate and resolve connectivity, VPN, VLAN, WiFi, and performance issues in a multi-site hybrid environment.\nInstall, configure, maintain, and replace computers, peripherals, and network gear.\nServe as a support technician for desktop and end-user issues (Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365).\nTroubleshoot and resolve PC hardware/software issues and provide user-level support.\nProvide training and guidance to end users on hardware and software use.\nWork closely with the Service Desk to track and resolve incidents, following established procedures and change-control policies.\nEscalate complex technical issues to higher-level teams as needed, while maintaining ownership of resolution.\nMonitor system and network performance, ensuring security and reliability.\nParticipate in project-based work such as system upgrades, network improvements, and proof-of-concept testing.\n\nEducation & Experience\n2–4 year degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nHands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki switches, wireless controllers, and related networking equipment.\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals: OSI model, VLANs, VPNs, WiFi, and firewalls.\nSolid experience in desktop support within a corporate environment.\nExperience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware virtualization (preferred).\nFamiliarity with SAN storage and Azure networking is a plus.\nRelevant certifications preferred (CompTIA A+, Cisco/Meraki, CCNA).\n\nSkills & Abilities\nMotivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.\nExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with end users and technical teams.\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.\nAbility to coordinate and collaborate with global IT teams including infrastructure, security, and applications.\nExperience assisting with project planning, implementation, and testing of IT solutions.\nIn-depth support skills for Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365.\nAbility to follow change management processes and adhere to cyber-security requirements.\nDemonstrated ability to ensure IT systems and networks meet business requirements for usability and performance.\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
