Customers are integrating with it. Revenue is coming in. But right now it’s being supported off the side of three people’s desks, none of whom can give it the attention it deserves.\n\nThis is the hire that changes that. You’ll be the first person fully dedicated to our API product — owning everything from the technical onboarding experience to the SDK and documentation to scoping new integrations with prospects. You’re not joining a team. You’re building the foundation for one.\n\nThis role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go‑to‑market. Some days you’ll be writing code. Other days you’ll be on a call walking a customer’s engineering team through an integration. Other days you’ll be shaping the roadmap based on what you’re hearing in the field. If you need a clean swim lane to be productive, this isn’t for you. If you like owning something end‑to‑end and making it real, keep reading.\n\nWhat You’ll Own\nAPI product ownership — internal owner of the API product: roadmap, reliability, trajectory. Prioritise build items. Ship.\n\nTechnical onboarding and integration support — guide customers through implementation, troubleshoot issues, build repeatable tooling.\n\nDeveloper enablement — own docs, SDKs, developer experience.\n\nPre‑sales technical scoping — join sales conversations, scoping integration complexity.\n\nFeedback loop to product and engineering — surface patterns, translate field signal into product direction.\n\nWho We’re Looking For\nYou can code and you can communicate. Comfortable writing production code and explaining concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.\n\nYou’ve worked on developer‑facing products. Built or influenced API, SDK, developer experience.\n\nYou’ve operated in ambiguity. Experience at startup or ambiguous environments.\n\nYou’re technical enough to be dangerous across the stack. Read/write code across backend, APIs, data pipelines, debug integrations.\n\nYou default to ownership. Fix problems instinctively.\n\nMinimum experience: 3+ years in a technical role with customer‑facing or product‑facing exposure — solutions engineering, developer relations, forward‑deployed engineering, technical account management, or software engineering with customer interactions. Bonus if at early‑stage company.\n\nBonus Points\n\nExperience with ad tech, martech, or B2B marketing platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with identity resolution, audience targeting, or data integration workflows.\n\nExperience building or maintaining SDKs, developer documentation, or API reference sites.\n\nBackground working with TypeScript/Node.js, AWS, or data pipeline tooling.\n\nWorked at a YC company or similar high‑velocity early‑stage environment.\n\nFirst hire in a function, built from zero.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive base + meaningful equity.\n\nFull benefits.\n\nA seat at the table — participate in product and GTM decisions.\n\nThe chance to own something. Not support something. Not maintain something. Own it.\n\nA Note on Culture\nWe move fast and expect a lot. We are honest about what we are — seed stage, building, figuring things out. Those who thrive are comfortable with ambiguity, allergic to theater, and get satisfaction from watching a customer successfully integrate the product.\n\nIf you want a role where boundaries are clearly drawn and someone else decides what’s important, this probably isn’t it.
