Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for process‑engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements to support a manufacturing organization.\nResponsibilities Use engineering skills to solve complex problems that lead to improved yield for existing manufacturing processes in our adhesive coating and lamination process.\nInteract with production operators and utilize their feedback with the goal of implementing process improvements.\nUse statistical analysis tools to make data‑driven decisions when working on product quality improvement projects.\nSupport 24/5 production manufacturing.\nWork closely with the product engineering team to introduce new products to manufacturing that involve a diverse mix of materials and process steps.\nPrepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation.\nProvide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.\nLead cost improvement/reduction programs.\nReview processing methods.\nInterface with production on all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.\nAssist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer.\nQualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering preferred).\nLean and Six Sigma knowledge (cycle time, continuous improvement, DMAIC method) or eagerness to earn certification through on‑site training.\n3years of experience in a high‑regulated environment (Medical, Automotive, Aerospace) within a high‑volume manufacturing environment.\nExperience with screen printing, photo exposing, circuit etching, plating, or other processing.\nExperience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Inventor, and Microsoft Access is a plus.\nExperience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.\nAdvanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.\nBenefits Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort‑term and Long‑term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\nPay Range (Applicable to Minnesota): $59,000.00USD – $81,100.00USD per year.\nEqual Opportunity Employer Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
