Responsible for developing and supporting FPGA/CPLD designs through all phases of design and system integration for high-reliability embedded aerospace and ground based vehicle systems applications.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform activities such as requirements generation, design, RTL-synthesis, test bench development and design simulation, static timing and power analysis, and requirements-based design verification.\nPrototype evaluation, design-to-cost trade-offs, design reviews, qualification test support, system integration support, production and obsolescence support tasks.\nMaintain the desire to stay current in the continuously developing field and to expand knowledge base and skills in FPGA design and digital hardware engineering.\nWorks with hardware engineers and senior management to enhance existing applications and build additional applications\nDesigns and develops hardware systems\nTests and modifies hardware to ensure it meets specifications and requirements\nUnderstands and utilizes internal processes and tools for the development of hardware\nDecisions may have minor impact on cost, schedule, and technical performance\nContributes to engineering estimates on simple hardware designs\nImproved depth of product domain knowledge\nBachelor's Degree and 5-10+ years’ work experience or Master’s Degree and 3+ years of work experience.\nRequired Skills and Education\n5-10+ years circuit design experience, with the demonstrated ability to design HDL-based FPGAs and CPLDs.\nKnowledge of digital electronic devices and circuit design principles.
