Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can’t wait.\n\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\n\nYou will own hardware designs for Helion’s fusion generator prototypes. You will solve multidisciplinary engineering problems that are necessary for deploying fusion energy to the world and act as a culture driver on a growing team. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager at our Everett, WA office.\n\nYou Will:\n\nEnhancing Helion’s analysis workflow for critical structures (electromagnets)\n\nRunning transient multiphysics finite-element models to generate margins for critical designs\n\nCollaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team to improve critical hardware designs\n\nLearning from in-house experts to expand your skillset into electrical and thermal analysis\n\nBuilding software tools to automate the analysis workflow and allow Helion engineers and scientists to run their own analysis\n\nRequired Skills:\n\nYou have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics or related field with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.\n\nStrong background in analytical, computational and numerical simulation methods.\n\nA foundation of understanding of electromagnetic and thermal finite element modeling.\n\nExperience in taking on analysis problems from formulation through testing and model correlation.\n\nProficiency with multiphysics finite-element analysis tools such as COSMOL, ANSYS, Opera or equivalent.\n\nExperience with programming environments (Matlab, Python, etc.) for scripting, tooling or data analysis.\n\nDesire to positively impact complex structural designs, rather than just execute on analysis.\n\nBenefits\n\nMedical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families\n\n31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days)\n\n10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break\n\nUp to 5% employer 401(k) match\n\nShort term disability, long term disability, and life insurance\n\nPaid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks)\n\nAnnual wellness stipend\n\nHelion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
