Kosher Lead - BID

Job Summary A Kosher Lead’s first responsibility is to prepare a variety of food items in accordance with Kosher prescribed methods and recipes in order to provide unparalleled service at Giant Eagle fresh departments, ensuring that all customer requirements are met. Job Description Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year Experience Desired: Prior experience in grocery or related field; food safety awareness and knowledge of Kosher preparation Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds Travel Required: Regional - Daily, Less than 10% Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age Job Responsibilities Maintain safety as the top priority for our Team Members, guests and products. Properly handle products and equipment in accordance with Kosher food safety and safety guidelines. Prepare a variety of food items in accordance with prescribed Kosher food preparation methods and recipes. Provide exemplary customer service and greet guests in a friendly manner. Actively demonstrate appropriate suggestive selling techniques and provide active sampling opportunities, when appropriate. Display a commitment to learn about Kosher food and share Kosher food knowledge with fellow team members and customers. Actively participate in, and promote, an environment which embraces diversity, inclusion, and respect for Team Members, Customers, Vendors, and the Community.
