ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned.\nSpecify, evaluate, and purchase industrial equipment after extrusion (PVC & PE), such as beller and hydrotester, as well as ancillary equipment in utility (chillers, air compressors, etc.).\nDesign chill water piping system and pneumatic conveying systems for manufacturing plants.\nManage suppliers and equipment performance and quality. Coordinate with vendors, HQ personnel, plant personnel to ensure the quality, logistics, and start-up of equipment is satisfactory for the continuous success of plant operations and improvements.\nCreate, evaluate, and compare specifications and quotations from suppliers of equipment used in the plastic manufacturing process.\nPrepare purchasing related documentations and directly involve in price negotiation, process approval, payment submission and tracking, etc. for equipment.\nUse project management skills to manage project from initiation phase through completion which includes proposal review, project scheduling and execution, supplier follow ups, and logistics activities.\nDesign using AutoCAD for equipment and piping layout. Solidworks experience is a plus for conceptual validation, but not required.\nExcellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position has no immediate supervisory responsibilities. May provide leadership for designated projects\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform thisjob successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and interpret design drawings. Able to write technical reports, identify trends and develop action plans to address issues.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form. Ability to identify trends and develop action plans to address issues.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
