Backed by our founders' successful exits from two previous ventures acquired for a combined $180M in 2022, we are committed to ensuring that the groundbreaking technologies we develop have a real-world impact.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking an IT Engineer, Facility Security Operations to support and maintain ACS's internal IT environment while playing a key role in facility security operations. This role is primarily IT focused, supporting day-to-day systems, infrastructure, and end-user needs, while also ensuring compliance with government security requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong IT fundamentals, experience operating in secure environments, and prior or current Facility Security Officer experience or an active clearance.\nThis role will partner closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and reliable as ACS continues to scale.\nWhat You'll Do\nProvide hands-on IT support across the organization, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.\nConfigure, deploy, and maintain laptops, workstations, and peripheral equipment.\nManage user accounts, access controls, and permissions across IT systems.\nSupport onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring security and compliance requirements are met.\nMaintain and monitor IT systems to ensure reliability, patching, and security best practices.\nServe as a key contributor to Facility Security Operations, supporting secure facility requirements and government compliance.\nAssist with clearance-related processes, access controls, and coordination with security stakeholders.\nSupport compliance initiatives including CMMC Level 2, ITAR, and other DoD security requirements.\nMaintain IT and security documentation, policies, and system records.\nWork with vendors to support IT systems, security tooling, and compliance documentation.\nWhat You'll Need\nPrior experience as a Facility Security Officer or in a security-focused role supporting cleared environments, or an active or previously held security clearance.\n3+ years of professional IT experience in a systems, infrastructure, or support-focused role.\nStrong experience supporting Windows and Linux experience is a plus.\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, endpoint security, and access management.\nExperience operating in compliance-driven environments.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.\nYou'll Stand Out\nActive security clearance.\nHands-on experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government contractors.\nDirect experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, or similar frameworks.\nExperience supporting secure facilities and classified environments.\nComfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving requirements.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary\nACS Equity Package\nHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance\nPaid Time Off\nAllen Control Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer, providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
