In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment while fully embodying our core values of Deploy Faster, Operate with Confidence, and Design with Purpose. The ideal candidate will streamline processes to execute projects efficiently, ensure exceptional quality, safety, and reliability through rigorous testing and compliance, and bring intentional, forward-thinking solutions to complex engineering challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems across a variety of applications and deliver scalable, high-impact results that support our mission and drive continuous improvement.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop and design electrical systems, circuits, and components based on project requirements, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.\nPerform load calculations, power distribution analysis, and other design-related calculations to ensure compliance with industry and aerospace standards and safety regulations.\nBuild prototypes of electrical systems, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide production liaison support to ensure the systems function as designed.\nPrepare detailed technical documentation, including cable and wire harness assemblies, wiring diagrams, wire routing, and design specifications for project stakeholders.\nWork closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.\nEnsure all electrical designs adhere to safety and design standards, codes (such as NEC, IEC, SAE (i.e. AS50881)), and any other regulatory requirements (i.e. environmental, electromagnetic, flammability, etc.).\nStay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technologies and propose innovations that improve system performance, cost, and energy efficiency.\nPlan and conduct tests to ensure that systems meet required performance and design standards, and work on improving the quality and reliability of electrical systems.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a similar role within the defense industry.\nProficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or other similar electrical design software.\nStrong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, power distribution, and control systems.\nExcellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.\nAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nWill be required to qualify for and maintain at least a Secret Security Clearance.\nWhy Join SelectTech?\nAt SelectTech, you’ll work alongside a team that values innovation, precision, and purpose.
