This role serves as a key partner between Coding Operations, Revenue Cycle, Client Services, Technology, Implementation, and operational leadership teams to ensure seamless coding transitions, operational readiness, compliance, and long-term success.\n\nThe ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in professional fee (physician) coding, revenue cycle operations, coding compliance, provider education, and client relationship management. This leader will be responsible for guiding coding integration activities, supporting operational transformation, identifying process improvement opportunities, and ensuring coding best practices are consistently implemented across client engagements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nClient Coding Integrations\nLead coding integration activities for physician billing clients during onboarding, metrics.\nAssist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans related to coding quality, documentation, and compliance concerns.\nSupport internal and external audits while ensuring adherence to federal, state, payer, and regulatory requirements.\nRevenue Cycle Optimization\nAnalyze coding-related trends, denials, edits, and revenue cycle performance indicators to identify root causes and recommend solutions.\nPartner with Revenue Cycle teams to improve reimbursement accuracy, reduce denials, and enhance operational efficiency.\nAssist clients with coding workflow redesign, process improvements, and operational transformation initiatives.\nSupport implementation of automation, reporting, and technology solutions that improve coding performance.\nRelationship Management\nBuild trusted partnerships with physicians, operational leaders, coding teams, compliance departments, and client stakeholders.\nAct as a strategic advisor regarding physician coding operations and regulatory requirements.\nPresent operational updates, implementation progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership teams.\nFacilitate effective communication between internal and external stakeholders throughout implementation activities.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum of 7 years of progressive healthcare coding, physician billing, revenue cycle, or health information management experience.\nMinimum of 3 years of leadership, consulting, project management, or implementation experience.\nExtensive knowledge of:\nICD-10-CM\nCPT\nHCPCS\nEvaluation & Management (E/M) coding\nProfessional fee billing and reimbursement methodologies\nExperience supporting physician practice operations, professional coding programs, or multispecialty physician groups.\nStrong understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory requirements, and payer guidelines.\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.\nAbility to travel up to 50% within the assigned state and client locations.\nRequired Certifications\n\nCandidates must possess one or more active coding credentials:\n\nCPC (Certified Professional Coder)\nCCS (Certified Coding Specialist)\nCCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-Based)\nRHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)\nRHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting large-scale
