The hours for this position are Weekend Shift (6:00am to 6:00pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).\n\nThis position involves the assembly and testing of medical products and related packaging. Therefore, the work is performed in a clean room environment. Employees who work in clean rooms have a gowning process which includes wearing a hair net, lab coat and booties over shoes. Employees who work in clean rooms may not wear makeup, jewelry, perfumes, hair gels, fake eyelashes, fake nails, etc.\n\nThis Position Includes:\nA one-time sign-on bonus of $2,000.00 minus appropriate tax withholding will be paid to you on the first pay period after you start your employment at Arthrex.\n\nMain Objective:\nTo lead and oversee multiple teams assembling and packaging medical devices following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. assembly and packaging processes and procedures.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nBe an advocate for safety, working with support groups to preventatively identify and address risks as well as coordinating with Supervisors to respond to incidents and identify solutions to prevent recurrence. Ensure your teams are aware and engaged in safety.\nPossess the ability to effectively communicate with department personnel, quality personnel, and supervisors as it relates to ideas, questions, and concerns.\nAssist Sutures/Textiles Supervisors in overseeing production coordinators’ individual lines in the clean room to ensure safe, error free assembly and labeling.\nResponsible for maintaining accuracy of secured Kanban/Replenishment inventory and material issuance against specific work orders\nCheck materials (lot, PN and Qty.) prior to production use and request additional material as needed to avoid production downtime\nVerify and complete assigned portions of device history record and enter transactions in SAP accurately as needed\nEnsure Production Coordinators are following 1-piece flow and performing work to line setup cards, when available.\nContinuously monitoring lines for process improvement\nAssist Production Coordinators with ensuring proper utilization of manpower for continuous flow manufacturing on the production line.\nInterface with PHT system providing run rates and reporting production issues including downtime information.\nTrain employees on new products, product line layouts, work instructions, packaging instructions, procedures and assembly techniques gained via experience. Provide explanations / reasons for techniques used and their cause.\nLiaison to Engineering, and Training, and for OJT training.\nIn addition to performing the job function of Sr. PC it is the expectation that they will assist in PC coverage, and/or role as necessary.\nCoordinate with boxing personnel regarding product count and quality.\nMaterial reconciliation and paperwork review.\nProvide feedback, both positive and negative, as it relates to employee performance to Supervisor, or as directed by Supervisor.\nContinue to strive towards self-development as well as departmental.\nNotify Supervisor of any production, safety or performance issues as they arise.\nAssist Sutures/Textiles Supervisors with interpreting and adhering to the daily Sutures/Textiles schedule.\nFollow up with Clean room personnel on any training gaps.\nDevelop operators including promoting cross training across all functional areas in Clean room.\nServe as designee for assigned area when Supervisor is not present. Assume specific roles of Supervisor for assigned area when one is not present.\nSupport troubleshooting activities. (NCR’s)\nOversees production performance during the shift to ensure Schedule attainment, and efficiency levels are met\nMaintain training records. (CTM)\nReporting to include daily, OEE, etc.\nSupport MPI/CI initiatives, and coordinate area set-ups\nAssists with the inventory, and maintenance of the tools, and supplies\n\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nAt least 4 years of manufacturing experience related to technical and mechanical aspect of manufacturing including operation of packaging equipment preferred\nSutures/Textiles experience preferred\nSuccessful completion of the Leadership Development Program\n1 year of experience in a lead / coordinator role in a regulated manufacturing environment required\nExperience in Lean manufacturing environment is preferred\nExperience with computerized manufacturing system is desirable (Oracle, SAP, etc.)\nRequires business language reading and comprehension, solving simple mathematical equations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and the ability to perform tasks through verbal communication\nTrain the Trainer program\n\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:\nWork Order problem solving and DHR documentation and reconciliation.\nHave strong/proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times.\nAwareness of legal ramifications of actions such as favoritism, inappropriate comments, preferable treatment/assignments.\nMust have the ability to perform tasks by reading, understanding and following work instruction/documents provided.\nKnowledge and ability to interpret / comprehend manufacturing/packaging/work instructions.\nKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.\nKnowledge of administrative procedures and computer systems such as word processing, managing files and records, Excel, Power Point, MQ1, SAP, and Microsoft Outlook.\n\nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nThe technology and the frequency of the technology required to perform this job are as follows; the occasional operation of some textile equipment, winding, suture attaching machines, tipping & cutting, label printing, weigh scales, label dispenser machine, manual sealers, cleaning machine, and general test equipment.\n\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, problem solve and draw valid conclusions.
