The Bartenders will be responsible to prepare, serve and be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create drinks in accordance with guests’ needs and expectations. The primary purpose of the Bartender is to provide friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests.\nEssential Job Functions:\nDuties include, but are not limited, to the following:\nMaintain positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner.\nTake beverage orders from guests.\nAccept guest payments and process credit card charges.\nUse Toast POS systems for transactions.\nPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes.\nPeel, slice, and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.\nFollowing all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and all health and safety regulations set by the OHA.\nBalance the cash register at the start and close of each shift.\nPresent drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.\nMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including floors, counters, sinks, utensils, and shelves.\nRestock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.\nMaintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.\nWiping down tables inside and outside, emptying inside and outside trash cans, picking up trash or debris, wiping of the windows, doors and mirrors when needed and changing kegs when asked\nOther duties as assigned\nPreferred Qualifications: (Include equipment knowledge/use)\nMinimum 1 year food and beverage service and/or related food and beverage experience\nExcellent knowledge of serving techniques, standard cocktails and wines\nExcellent knowledge of beer, liquor, wine and common drink recipes\nExcellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks\nPossess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills\nHandle a fast-paced work environment\nOutstanding guest services skills\nBe able to communicate clearly and effectively (verbal & written)\nPositive attitude and excellent communication skills\nPossess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cash register and Toast POS system and register\nGroomed in a manner consistent with grooming standards\nProfessional presentation and positive attitude\nOLCC Alcohol Service Permit\nOHA Food Handler Card\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly\nAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shift\nFlexibility in the wrist to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend\nRead and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)\nVisually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)\nAbility to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left\nReach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping\nAbility to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistance\nAbility to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator with temperatures ranging from 35°- 45°\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED)\nMinimum 21 years of age\nMinimum 1 year food and beverage service and/or related food and beverage experience\nThe Outpost Group was founded in 2025 as a vehicle to inspire, create, develop and operate a destination experience for food & beverage concepts in the Restaurant Industry.
