The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing CMM programs to inspect and verify production materials and components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.\r\nWHAT'S REQUIRED?\r\nDevelop and modify CMM programs using PC-DMIS or equivalent software.\r\nInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to establish inspection criteria.\r\nPerform dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies using CMM and other precision measuring tools.\r\nDocument inspection results and maintain accurate records for quality audits.\r\nCollaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.\r\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Kaizen methodologies.\r\nTrain and mentor junior staff on CMM operations and best practices.\r\nAssociate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.\r\nMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in CMM programming and operation.\r\nProficiency in PC-DMIS software and understanding of ANSI/ASME, ISO standards.\r\nStrong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).\r\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.\r\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\r\nABOUT STEEL TOOL & ENGINEERING\r\nAt Steel Tool & Engineering, we don't just build precision aerospace components—we build careers.
