Registered Nurse Recovery Room (24 hours/wk. Part Time Benefits) Days-Royal Oak

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.Henry Ford Medical Center - Royal Oak has services for every member of the family in a state-of-the-art, downtown facility. We offer adult and pediatric primary care, a variety of specialty care services, ambulatory surgery, same-day care services and complimentary two-hour parking in a nearby parking deck.The Henry Ford Medical Center - Royal Oak features an ambulatory surgical center with a specialized Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or recovery room. Following surgery, patients are monitored here by an anesthesiology team for pain management and safety before discharge, with specialized care available for outpatient procedures.Key details regarding the recovery area include:PACU Monitoring: Patients are closely observed by a specialized team to manage pain, nausea, and vital signs after anesthesia.Outpatient Focus: The Royal Oak location focuses on, but is not limited to, ambulatory/same-day surgery.Transition to Care: Following initial recovery, patients are either discharged or transferred to a secondary site if necessary.Location: Henry Ford Medical Center - Royal Oak 110 E. 2nd Street Royal Oak, MI 48067Shift: 24 hours a week-3+ days/weekShift Varies and will be scheduled as needed. 0530-2p. 0600-230p. 0700-330p. 0800-430p (looking at also adding a 9-530p) *until last patient is dischargedNo call required.Benefits: Part-Time BenefitsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:BSN preferred.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.Preferred Pre/Post Op experienceMinimum of 1 year experience as a OR/PACU/ER/ICU Registered NurseCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.BLSACLS requiredAdditional InformationOrganization: Henry Ford Medical GroupDepartment: Recovery Room - ROShift: Day JobUnion Code: Not Applicable
