You'll be responsible for the infrastructure behind payroll, benefits, compensation, HR compliance, and employee lifecycle operations.This role is ideal for someone who loves building clean, scalable systems and sweating the details. You'll partner closely with Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and managers across the company to ensure every operational touchpoint is thoughtful, accurate, and fast.ResponsibilitiesOwn payroll operations across the US, international employees and contractorsManage employee benefits, annual renewals, vendor relationships, and employee educationAdminister compensation programs, merit cycles, promotions, market benchmarking, and equity-related processesPrepare and manage employment agreements, compensation change letters, and other employee documentationOwn new hire onboarding and offboarding operationsMaintain HRIS data integrity and improve People systems and workflowsPartner with Finance on headcount planning, payroll reconciliation, and reportingSupport compliance across employment law, audits, leaves, and required documentationBuild scalable operational processes that can support rapid company growthImprove internal documentation and self-service resources for employeesRequirementsHave 5+ years of People Operations or HR experience at a high growth start upHave owned payroll and benefits end-to-endAre comfortable managing compensation cycles and partnering with FinanceHave experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms like RipplingLove building processes that remove frictionNotice small details before anyone else doesBalance speed with accuracyEnjoy making complex operational work feel invisible to employeesBenefits and Perks (US Only) 💖At WorkOS, we offer resources that emphasize personal and familial well-being.
