You'll stay on top of your game by having access to ongoing training programs, as well as participating in on-the-job training within our exciting, fast paced environment.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform multipoint inspectionsCommunicate additional service/repair needs to service advisorsService universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease gunsInspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shacklesCheck tire pressureLubricate moving parts with specified lubricantsDrain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oilAdd water to radiator and batteryReplace oil and air filtersInspect all vehicles for additional repairsAdhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conductFollow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicalsCompensationCompensation is based on experience and commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.QualificationsMust meet dealership's requirements for employmentAbility to read/comprehend written instructions and informationFamiliarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenanceMust have a valid driver's license and be able to operate manual transmissionsPrior Mazda experience as a technicianEffective communication and interpersonal skillsMust be a Mazda Certified technician Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsOccasional exposure to inclement weatherAbility to operate an automobileProlonged periods of standing, stooping and bendingExerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objectsRequires a significant amount of walking and/or standing. May also require working in the seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms and legs. This position may also require working at a production pace while pushing and/or pulling materials from place to place.
