Your role as a Senior Network Engineer will be to monitor and control the performance and status of network resources across multiple enclaves utilizing software and hardware tools; configure and install networking hardware / software replacements and upgrades; and work hand and hand with tenant agency engineers in support of building networking related projects. You will Identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance.\nDuties to include:\nInstall, monitor, and perform remote diagnosis, configuration management, and technical support of switches and routers as well as analog and digital circuits for voice, data, and video systems.\nTroubleshoots networking issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hours.\nConduct network and system performance monitoring, load balancing, and troubleshooting.\nWorks with vendors in support of the client.\nEnsures all networking applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner.\nPerforms preventative maintenance services on all devices within the networking area of responsibility.\nMaintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in data center as well as service provider.\nRequired Skills:\nDoD 8570 - IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)\nTop Secret Clearance is required to start, must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI\nCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.\nMinimum of five (5) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineering.\nExperience with Cisco routers and Catalysts switches\nGCA is a Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned company supporting several government contracts.
