This position is responsible for layout, data collection, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of field measurements. The role is hands-on and best suited for someone who prefers working outdoors, taking ownership of field work, and supporting fast-moving projects.Projects are typically short duration and schedule-driven, requiring efficiency, accuracy, and strong field judgment.ResponsibilitiesPerform construction staking, layout, and as-built surveysCollect topographic data and cross sectionsOperate GPS, robotic total stations, and related survey equipmentMaintain accurate field notes and digital documentationPerform basic field calculations and quality control checksDownload, upload, and organize survey data for office processingEnsure proper care, calibration, and storage of survey equipmentMaintain company vehicle, tools, and suppliesFollow safety standards and jobsite requirementsCommunicate progress, issues, and site conditions to project leadsQualificationsPrior field surveying experience preferredExposure to construction layout and/or topographic surveyingExperience with GPS and total station equipment is a plus (training available)Ability to work extended hours and overtimeComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordStrong attention to detail and reliabilityAbility to work independently and manage daily field tasksCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime paySign-on incentiveCompany-paid health coverage with HSA contribution optionsDental, vision, life, and disability coverageRetirement plan with company matchPaid time off that increases with years of servicePaid holidays plus a floating holidayCompany vehicle and equipment providedInterested in hearing more?
