The ideal candidate will ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence in all transloading activities. This leadership role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Prior military experience and air brake certification are considered valuable assets for this position. The Transload Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining smooth operations, adhering to safety standards, and optimizing productivity.\nDuties\nSchedule times of shipment and modes of transportation for cargo.\nVerifies by self or through others that all product has been loaded completely by Purchase Order number for all loaded shipments.\nVerifies by self or through others product Distribution Center destinations for all loaded shipments are correct.\nVerifies by self or through others the correct trailing equipment is used for each customer Distribution Centerdestination.\nMonitors trailer cube utilization throughout the shift and reviews daily totals as compared to standards.\nObserves personnel performing duties and prepares terminal operations reports on revenue derived, costs of operation, accident reports, and incidents relating to personnel or merchandise claims for losses or damages.\nParticipates in claim prevention program.\nMust be able to communicate with customers and coworkers via email.\nInspects terminal facilitates for conformance to prescribed standards and cleanliness and for the need of maintenance and repair.\nMonitors workload on a daily basis and makes staffing changes as needed to achieve organization goals.\nInitiates requisitions for corrective action as needed.\nParticipates in corrective interviews with personnel.\nEnforces worker compliance with established safety rules and regulations and measures to protect the safety of employees and customers and security of merchandise, properly and equipment.\nMonitors direct labor ratio for all operations performed on shift. Prepares daily and summary reports to insure productivity standards are met or exceeded.\nMonitors terminal equipment maintenance and usage to insure the proper maintenance and care are being provided in order to keep equipment in good order and safe operating condition.\nMonitors terminal security to insure security procedures are followed in accordance to company policies.
