Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain a value stream map for each manufacturing process inside the facility.\nUtilize lean manufacturing principals to reduce inventory and develop a single piece flow production system.\nContinually Improve the manufacturing process efficiencies to reduce production costs.\nLead continuous improvement events with cross-functional teams.\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing core documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.)\nUtilize ergonomic and safety practices to improvement upon assembly process conditions.\nUtilize and modify manufacturing execution system (MES) to maintain assembly line process controls.\nAnalyze current product engineering changes and how they affect the process/assembly lines.\nAttend assembly daily stand-up meetings, for both shifts, for the areas that are within the span of control for this position.\nWork with program management to ensure facility readiness for all new program launches.\nPerform time studies and monitor on-going line balancing activities.\nDevelop requirements for and obtain capital funding for required plant equipment.\nImplement Poka yoke systems to prevent errors in the manufacturing process.\nReview component and assembly designs to ensure all products have been designed for assembly.\nResponsible for updating the GCAR system for corrective actions.\nAbility to work off shift and weekends as project needs dictate.\nWho we are looking for:\nA minimum of two years’ experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment Is required.\nA minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience is required.\nA minimum of two years’ experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment Is required.\nYour preferred qualifications:\nFamiliarity with modeling software.\nHighly proficient in the development spreadsheets for data analysis.\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
