This is onsite at the client's location.\nAs a Hardware Security Test Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing the security of our hardware systems and components. You will work closely with our engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, design, and implement security tests, review hardware designs, create Threat and Risk Assessments (TARA). This position requires expertise in hardware security, including secure boot, debug interfaces, chip-level assessment, side-channel analysis, fault injection, wireless protocol analysis, and TARA creation.\nResponsibilities:\nAssess Hardware Debug Interface:\nEvaluate and analyze the security of hardware debug interfaces such as JTAG, SWD, and other debugging mechanisms.\nDevelop and execute test plans to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in debug interfaces.\nCollaborate with the development team to implement security enhancements.\nSecure Boot Assessment:\nConduct secure boot assessments to ensure the integrity and authenticity of firmware and bootloader components.\nIdentify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in the secure boot process.\nAssist in the development of secure boot test strategies and best practices.\nChip-Level Assessment:\nPerform thorough chip-level security assessments, including side-channel analysis and fault injection.\nIdentify and analyze potential vulnerabilities at the hardware level.\nDevelop and implement countermeasures to protect against hardware-based attacks.\nWireless Protocol Analysis:\nAnalyze wireless communication protocols such as Ultra-Wideband (UWB) for security weaknesses.\nConduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of wireless communication systems.\nProvide recommendations for improving the security of wireless protocols.\nCellular Base Station Setup:\nSet up and configure cellular base stations for analyzing cellular client devices.\nPerform testing and analysis of cellular communication security.\nCollaborate with the team to enhance the security of cellular communication systems.\nReview Hardware Designs:\nReview hardware designs and architectures for security vulnerabilities.\nProvide input and recommendations to improve the security of hardware components.\nCollaborate with hardware design teams to implement security measures from the early design stages.\nThreat and Risk Assessment (TARA):\nCreate Threat and Risk Assessments (TARAs) for hardware components and systems.\nIdentify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and associated risks.\nDevelop mitigation strategies and risk management plans.\nSecurity Testing and Reporting:\nDevelop and execute security test plans and methodologies.\nDocument and report security findings, vulnerabilities, and recommended fixes.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation of security issues.\nResearch and Development:\nStay updated with the latest hardware security trends and emerging threats.\nContribute to the development of new security testing tools and techniques.\nParticipate in research projects to advance hardware security within the organization.\nCompliance and Standards:\nEnsure hardware security testing processes align with industry standards and best practices.\nAssist in compliance assessments and audits related to hardware security.\nRequirements master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in hardware security testing and assessment. Proficiency in hardware security analysis tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of secure boot processes and debugging interfaces. Familiarity with side-channel analysis and fault injection techniques. Experience with wireless communication protocols, including UWB. Knowledge of cellular communication systems and base station setup. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
