In this role, you will work at the intersection of cloud platforms, AI integration, and regulated medical device software, contributing to innovative technologies that advance diagnostics and improve patient care.\nYou will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product Management, DevOps, Product Security, and Software Quality Assurance to build scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that support Hologic’s mission to transform women’s health. This role is open to remote flexibility.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and develop cloud and edge software solutions that integrate with AI-enabled medical devices.\nContribute to architectural decisions involving cloud platforms, deployment strategies, and system security.\nPartner with Product Management, Regulatory, and Design Assurance teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\nWork closely with DevOps, IT, and Product Security to ensure secure development and deployment pipelines.\nSupport verification and validation activities alongside Software Quality Assurance engineers.\nReview code and technical deliverables to ensure alignment with design standards and quality expectations.\nEnsure development processes align with medical device regulations and quality standards, including FDA and ISO 13485.\nPromote best practices in secure software development, testing, and documentation.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEducation\nBachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another STEM-related field.\nExperience\n6–8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud and edge-based systems.\nKnowledge & Expertise\nExperience developing software in regulated environments, preferably within medical devices or healthcare technology.\nStrong understanding of secure software development practices and regulatory compliance.\nFamiliarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulated development processes.\nExperience integrating AI capabilities into cloud or edge-based applications.\nProficiency with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.\nTechnical Skills\nExperience with major cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nStrong background in containerization, orchestration, and configuration management.\nExpertise in software testing practices, including unit, integration, and system testing.\nExperience working on distributed development teams using modern collaboration tools.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.\nLeadership & Collaboration\nProven ability to lead technical decisions and mentor engineers.\nStrong communication skills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to work effectively in cross-functional and remote teams.\nCommitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety.\n\nSo why join Hologic?\n\nWe are committed to making Hologic the company where top talent comes to grow.
