The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safety programs and policies at our multi-location manufacturing and distribution company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, experience working in manufacturing environments, and a proven track record of implementing effective safety initiatives.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nDevelop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.\nDevelop reporting tools with work comp carrier and other systems to analyze data for trends and solutions to common issues and incidents.\nConduct regular safety inspections and audits at all company locations to identify potential hazards and risks.\nCollaborate with department managers to address safety concerns and develop solutions to mitigate risks.\nProvide safety training to employees on topics such as machine safety, Lock-out/Tag-out, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response procedures.\nInvestigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.\nWork with Production and HR to develop back to work programs and job duties for returning employees\nDocuments safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective action and procedures.\nMaintain and update MSDS sheets for existing and new hazards brought into the company.\nMaintain safety records and reports for regulatory compliance and internal tracking purposes.\nStay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in workplace safety to continuously improve the company's safety programs.\nQualifications\n5 years’ experience as a safety manager or coordinator in a manufacturing environment\nProven experience in safety management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the woodworking or general production industries.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other state and federal safety standards.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently.\nBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field and experience.\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.\nAdditional Information\nThis is a full-time position based at our manufacturing and distribution facilities in either Hackensack, MN, or Clarkson, KY.\nTravel between company locations is required.\nAbout the Brands:\nRenowned for its commitment to excellence, Mann Lake Ltd. has carved a niche for itself atop of the of beekeeping and poultry industries with the Mann Lake and Stromberg’s brands.
