{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a929dde724edf348185fe0dd","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a929dde724edf348185fe0dd","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a929dde724edf348185fe0dd","title":"Process Technician - Plastics","description":"Process Technician Position Overview\nThe Process Technician is responsible for optimization of the production processes and implementing sustainablecorrective measures for process discrepancies while producing high quality injection molded parts at a rate as setforth by company standards and customer specifications in a safe manner.\n\nProcess Technician Essential Functions\nResponsible for operating machine(s) start up and shutdowns, performing machine adjustments, andmaintaining all equipment to meet Safety and Quality requirements.\nPerform process set-up of molding machines to the predefined condition and ensure that the machines areoperating under validated operating parameters.\nResponsible for maintaining the optimal flow of produced products in production.\nWork closely with QC to resolve any non-conforming product challenges through effectivecommunication.\nResponsible for ensuring that all process parameters are within the predefined process window daily.\nResponsible for reporting changing status of cycle times to scheduling.\nClean and set up auxiliary equipment.\nMaintain housekeeping of machines and work area.\nConsult and work with team supervisor on all technical issues.\nNotify persons in charge of any non-standard or sub-performance operation or mold issues and quality andsafety issues.\nEnsure safety adherence.\nEnsure that established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are understood and followed.\nParticipate in all training programs.\n\nProcess Technician Required Experience\nProven experience as a Process Technician preferred.\nTrain machine operators on the necessities of their current molding operation.\nPossess proper purging methods for material changes.\nPossess processing skills to achieve quality parts, optimized cycle times and scrap minimization.\nInjection Molding processing experience on presses.\nExperience with Paulson Training or RJG processing methods is desired.\nExperience working with a variety of mold machines.\nExperience working with a variety of robots for injection molding machines.\nExperience working with a variety of different mold concepts (cold and hot runner systems, multi platemolds, hyd. cores, slides, valve gates, etc.).\nExperience in processing different types of custom resins.\nExperienced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice within the Medical or Food Industry.\nExperience working with Decoupled Molding and an understanding of Scientific Injection Molding (SIM).\nExperience working in a fast-paced operational environment with constant interaction with operators,technicians, peers, and managers.\nExperience in problem solving and troubleshooting of processes and process equipment secondaryoperation.\nProcess Technician Physical Demands and Work Environment\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\nThe employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.\nFrequently required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.\nFrequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.\nRegularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.\nAbility to use hand tools.\nAbility to read applicable instructions.\n\nCompany Overview\nAt Thunderbird, the collaborative relationship with our parent and partner companies allows us to better serveour customers – now and in the future.
