Pay starts at $19.90 per hour and depends on experience.\r\nPosition Information:\r\nThis Paint Line Operator position reports directly to the Manager and must work in coordination with co-workers to be effective. This position is primarily responsible for loading and unloading the paint line. Note specific requirements for interdepartmental component transfers.\r\nChecks stock bins for adequate supplies of packing materials and any other items needed. Contacts material handler or Production Lead/Supervisor if shortages exist.\r\nComplete all departmental paperwork, such as routings, assembly tickets, downtime tracking sheets, production status sheets and daily checklists. Communicate questions and problems to Lead or Supervisor.\r\nPaint product and assemble packaging as instructed on work instructions or routings.\r\nResponsible for the safe operation of machinery used to paint assemblies and sub-components. Machinery may vary from hand tools to paint line or even lab equipment, as determined by area.\r\nPerform frequent quality checks as directed by management or a Quality Representative. May be required to use quality inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers and/or calipers. Continuously inspect part quality (Ex: alignment of bolt holes, missing rivets, incorrect stamp of part number, etc.).\r\nRelay all information about current job to oncoming shift.\r\nMaintain production rate on each job.\r\nWill be responsible for turning on/shutting down machines within their assigned area.\r\nLoad and unload paint line.\r\nAssemble cardboard packaging per routing sheet.\r\nPack fan assemblies per customer requirements on the routing sheet.\r\nEnsure data accuracy before transacting in inventory system. Elevate issues or suspected discrepancies to management.\r\nWill be required to fill in as Operator in other departments as directed/rotated.\r\nTrain new operators when assigned.\r\nPractice 6S and always maintain clean and safe work areas.\r\nOther duties as assigned.QualificationsPaint Line Operator Qualifications:\r\nA high school diploma, or equivalent (GED), is required.\r\nPrevious relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.\r\nAbility to work well in a group and individually.\r\nSome degree of mechanical aptitude may be required.\r\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.
