Assemblers perform routine and non-routine production duties to assemble engines, air compressors, IPUs, and diesel generators. In this role, you will work more independently and may take on additional responsibilities, such as training less experienced assemblers.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAdhere to all safety guidelines, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others.\nCreate usable finished product which meets specification within the standard time allowed following all prescribed work instructions.\nAssemble intermediate and complex components using various tools and machinery.\nConduct quality control checks to ensure that products meet required specifications.\nTroubleshoot assembly issues and provide solutions.\nDrive a Forklift if needed.\nWork with minimal supervision and take initiative to meet production targets.\nMaintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to safety standards.\nMeet attendance and punctuality expectations consistently.\nParticipate and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being a part owner of the company\nOthers duties assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWork is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere; i.e. exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for moderate to extended periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nSitting 10%, standing/walking/squatting/climbing 90%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.
