Multiple vacancies may filled from this posting, ranging from developmental to SME; consideration and placement level is dependent upon qualifications and contract vacancy requirements.Key Duties/ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suitesDesign and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologiesTest software development methodology in an agile environmentProvide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platformsCollaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutionsProvide recommendations for continuous improvementWork alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. RequiredClearance: Active/Current TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain an upgraded clearanceCitizenship: U.S. CitizenshipEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field andExperience: Job-specific experience performing similar roles; required years of relevant experience varies depending on the role (typically, at least 5 years); job-specific experience includes:Capable of independently delivering on multiple competing priorities;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Experience with some of the following:Developing with Linux/Unix or similar Operating Systems;Java, Javascript, or Python;Deployments, DevOps, AWS and GIT;Build tools (e.g., gradle, maven);Familiarity with some of the following:Agile software development methodologies; Amazon Web Services (AWS);Continuous integration and software CM processes / tools (Subversion, GIT, JIRA, Confluence);Microservice architecturesDesiredFamiliarity with Elasticsearch and/or Postgres;Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces;Experience with Container orchestration frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes;Experience with networking, Redis, Kafka, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana);Familiarity with real-time communication mechanisms such as WebSockets;Familiarity with Node, Cesium, and/or OpenLayers;Familiarity with emerging trends in desktop, web, and mobile app development;Experience with the Federal Intelligence CommunityVeros recognizes that a company is nothing without well-cared for employees and an incredible culture.
