No expertise in computer science is required. We value commitment to youth development and the ability to foster a nurturing classroom environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nCommit to 8, 12, or 16 hours per week; Daily shifts will be in 4-hour blocks\nAttend an orientation (3 hours);\nAttend training sessions (3 hours);\nRegularly attend STEM Coding Lab weekly meetings and communicate with the management team;\nCollaborate with our lead teachers:\nDaily communication and coordination;\nClassroom preparation and support;\nRecord student attendance;\nAssist with post-classroom cleanup;\nEngage with students maturely and responsibly;\nLearn to navigate our curriculum and the necessary technologies and software to provide support to students;\nAct as a liaison between our partners and the lead teacher on location, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration;\n\nRequirements:\n\nMust have a compassionate and positive attitude, as well as excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.\nMust have reliable transportation and arrive daily at different learning centers on time.\nMust complete the following clearances before training:\nAct 34 Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check\nAct 151 Child Abuse History Clearance\nAct 114 of 2006 FBI Criminal History Clearance\nThe cost of all background checks will be covered by STEM Coding Lab.\n\nProfessionalism Expectation:\nInterns who seize this opportunity to collaborate with communities, school districts, as well as academic and corporate experts are expected to exude professionalism consistently during their internship journey. Lack of responsibility could lead to termination. Outstanding interns might earn opportunities for leadership roles and employment at STEM Coding Lab.\n\nCompensation:\nSTEM Coding Lab’s Program Intern will receive $2,000 and agree to serve 16 hours weekly for the Fall Semester, 2024.
