This position works closely with staff, families, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality programming that aligns with BELN’s mission, values, and strategic goals.\nThis is a full-time, salaried position that includes administrative responsibilities, community outreach, family engagement, and direct participation in programs serving children and families throughout the Bitterroot Valley.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop, coordinate, and implement programs that support children, families, and community partners.\nCollaborate with leadership to identify program needs, opportunities, and strategic priorities.\nSupport grant development, fundraising efforts, and reporting requirements.\nOversee program implementation to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.\nMonitor program outcomes and utilize participant feedback to improve services and experiences.\nCoordinate staffing needs, scheduling, and program logistics.\nProvide leadership, guidance, and support to program staff through regular communication and collaboration.\nFoster a positive team culture centered on respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with families, community partners, businesses, funders, and stakeholders.\nRepresent BELN at community meetings, workshops, events, and collaborative initiatives.\nCoordinate participant enrollment, onboarding, communication, and program documentation.\nTrack budgets, expenses, program data, and reporting requirements.\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and applicable regulations.\nLead and support current BELN programs, including family support services, community workshops, outdoor education programs, and special events.\nConduct program evaluations and utilize data to support program development and decision-making.\nPrepare reports, presentations, and communications for staff, families, community partners, and funders.\nParticipate in ongoing professional development and maintain knowledge of current best practices in early childhood education and community-based programming.\nBecome licensed through the State of Montana as a substitute educator and maintain required certifications and credentials.\nSpend regular time in BELN programs building relationships with children, families, and staff.\nQualifications:\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Outdoor Education, or a related field.\nStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.\nProficiency with computer applications, data management systems, and office software.\nCurrent CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire.\nAbility to travel locally for meetings, trainings, workshops, and community events.\nAbility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and programming.\nPreferred\nMaster’s degree in a related field.\nExperience in program coordination, program management, or nonprofit administration.\nExperience working in early childhood education, family support services, community development, or advocacy.\nKnowledge of child development and early learning best practices.\nGrant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development experience.\nExperience facilitating outdoor education, nature-based learning, or place-based programming.\nExperience building partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.\nCompensation and Benefits\nStarting at $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and education\nBenefits may include:\nEmployer-paid supplemental health insurance\nPaid Time Off\nCultural Leave\nPaid Volunteer Time\nProfessional Development Assistance\nOne-on-One Coaching and Mentorship\nFlexible Work Arrangements\nEmployee Assistance Program\nAdditional benefits as outlined in BELN employment policies\nPhysical Demands\nThis position involves both office-based and community-based work and may require participation in outdoor activities including hiking, walking, skiing, swimming, and other recreational experiences.\nEmployees must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
