{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a8ed1eebc93206bb20b803b7","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a8ed1eebc93206bb20b803b7","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a8ed1eebc93206bb20b803b7","title":"Millwright","description":"Position Summary\nUnder the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Millwright's responsibilities are as follows:\nJob Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nInstalls, inspects, and maintains rotating equipment within the facility.\nInspects, troubleshoots and performs maintenance on rotating equipment (PD Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Compressors, Agitators, Gear Boxes, Blowers, Fin Fans, etc.) per API/ASME/ANSI standards and OEM specifications.\nAdjusts and aligns machinery and equipment.\nUses hand and power tools to complete assigned work tasks.\nReads and interprets schematics and drawings.\nIs able to setup, prepare, and inspect the work site.\nDemonstrates knowledge of basic physical and mechanical principles and craft math.\nUnderstands bearing, seals, compressors, pumps and cylinders, value and pipe configurations, shaft packing, and drive systems.\nUnderstands characteristics of metals and is knowledgeable about the various types and applications of lubricants.\nFollows guidelines and procedures to ensure that rotating equipment is working in a safe and reliable manner.\nComplete multicraft work which could include fixed equipment installation, support of PM technicians and other discipline craft.\nCommunicate and work with Maintenance/Reliability Engineer to process pump data to help improve Reliability of our rotating equipment.\nAssist Maintenance Team to create Job Procedures for all our rotating equipment.\nMust be able to provide basic millwright hand tools.\nExhibits and practices the Third Coast fundamental behaviors.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nHigh School Graduate or GED required.\nWork Experience:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience maintaining rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, agitators, gearboxes).\nMinimum of 5 years of experience with precision alignment and mechanical troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and process safety requirements.\nThree (3) years of maintenance experience in the petrochemical field preferred.\nPrevious experience with machine shop equipment such as column drills, lathes, milling machines and associated tooling preferred.\nSkills and Competencies:\nMust be able to read, understand, and execute safety rules and procedures.\nKnowledge of our quality policy and objectives\nFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in pump, and mixer\nThe experience to know how to fix things\nDemonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication.\nThe ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals.\nComputer Skills such as Microsoft Word.
