Unit Notes - Hiring Process: Profile Review: Profile Review with MedSol Clinical, Interview with Unit manager at facility - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Unit PACU - SAH # Beds 22 Phase 1 and Phase 2? Yes Nurse:Patient Ratios 1--2 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) ACLS, BLS, PALS Common Cases Ortho, Trauma, Cardiac, Urology, Pulmonary, GI Experience or 'Must have' skills ED or ICU experience EMR Epic Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? No but they assist with lunch relief Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios No but they assist with lunch relief RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Yes ICU patients - do they recover in PACU? Yes RNs read strips? Yes Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Variable start times of 0730,0800, 0900, 1000 and 11's - shift will primarliy cover 11a-11p Weeknight/Call Requirements On call shift would be 1 night every 6 weeks Weekend/Call Requirements On call shift would be 1 night every 6 weeks Holiday/Call Requirements Yes What is call response time? 1 hour Floating Requirements Yes Scrub Color/Dress Code Hospital provided scrubs Unit/Department specific orientation PACU and surgery center VivPost
