Delta also services the automotive industry with precision gears and machined parts.CNC OPERATOR/SET-UPOpenings on both 1st and 2nd Shift 1st Shift Hours: Monday - Friday from 6:00an - 4:30 pm (1-2 hours daily overtime and some weekends)2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Friday from 4:00pm - 2:30 am (1-2 hours daily overtime and some weekends)Openings for Grinding, Deburring, and Hob & Shape (Gear Cutting) Grinding ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC OD/ID grinding equipment with minimal supervision.Review and adhere to routers, sketches, set-up sheets, machining instructions to meet specific operation specifications including tool requirements, wheel grades, dressing frequency, speeds and feeds.Maintain proper documentation for SPC data collectionInspect work using a variety of measurement tools such as micrometers, bore gages indicators and amps.Responsible for maintaining production cycle times.Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs as required.Deburring ResponsibilitiesRemove of all loose/hanging metallic burrs using assorted powered and non-powered abrasive tools.Blending of metallic surface finishes to meet specifications on work instructions.Work with fine finishes and dimensions using various scopes with up to 30 power magnification. Identify any and all visual discrepancies to immediate supervisor.Inspection and be accountability for parts produced through various steps. Perform secondary work such as polishing, part cleaning and corrosion prevention.Hob And Shape ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Gear Hobing and Shaping equipment with minimal to no supervision Cutting gear and spline teeth and holding tolerances of between .001"-.0001" on lead and involuteRun a CNC gear inspection machine along with micrometers, gages and ampsMaintain proper documentation of SPC data and collaborate with management staff and supervisorVerify part quantity with the job travelerMake machine adjustments as required to maintain print specificationsLoad and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the travelerDetermine when wheels need replacementAssist in determining tooling & fixturing needsQualifications:Highschool Diploma or GEDPrior hands-on CNC experience, including set-up and troubleshooting preferred, but not requiredUnderstanding of GD&T.Ability to evaluate quality and make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product conformance to sketchesGood oral communicator including understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Work Environment:Must have ability to lift 25-40 lbsFrequent Standing, Twisting and BendingDelta companies are Equal Opportunity Employers dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across our organization.
