Job Opportunity: Solar Installation & Service Technician Company: Dura-Foam Roofing & Solar Center Location: Los Angeles, CA (Greater L.A. Area) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Are you a skilled technician looking to join a team that values quality craftsmanship and seamless integration? We are looking for a dedicated Solar Technician to handle everything from complex new installations to high-level system diagnostics, including troubleshooting problem systems and general maintenance. In this role, you will be the bridge between design plans and functional energy independence for our customers, ensuring every system meets our rigorous standards. Key Responsibilities Expert Installation: Assemble and install full-scale solar PV systems and energy storage (batteries). You must be comfortable reading architectural design plans and adhering to strict manufacturer installation procedures. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular servicing and diagnostic checks on existing systems. You will be the "problem solver," identifying electrical faults and hardware issues to get systems back online. Technical Diagnostics: Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment to test system performance and electrical integrity. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our office staff, fellow installers, and our specialized roofing teams to ensure every project is completed safely, on time, and to the customer's satisfaction. What We’re Looking For Technical Proficiency: A deep understanding of electrical systems and a high level of comfort with power tools and electrical testing equipment. System Familiarity: You should have a solid grasp of modern solar technology. Experience with the following brands (Panels, Batteries, Inverters, etc) is a significant plus: SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, Franklin, Fronius, Qcell, Etc. Detail Oriented: Ability to follow complex blueprints and wiring diagrams precisely. Safety First: A commitment to maintaining a safe workspace for yourself and your teammates. NOTE: While not required, prior experience as an electrician or apprentice is highly desired (i.e. main panel upgrades, wiring, etc.). Additional pay commensurate with this experience available.
