We are looking for a hands-on leader who spends approximately 80% of their time on job sites and 20% coordinating internally.Why Join Done Right Hood & Fire Safety?Stable and rapidly growing companyLong-term career opportunity with advancement potentialDirect collaboration with executive leadershipDiverse projects across NYC’s restaurant and commercial sectorsStrong team culture focused on accountability and growthExposure to engineering, construction, fabrication, and fire life-safety industriesCompetitive compensation based on experienceBenefits & ScheduleHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceCommuter Benefits ProgramPaid HolidaysPaid Sick Time & PTOStable Monday–Friday ScheduleFull-Time, Long-Term Career PositionPosition OverviewThe Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing mechanical kitchen exhaust and fire suppression projects from kickoff through completion.This role requires an individual comfortable managing active construction environments, coordinating multiple trades, and representing Done Right Hood & Fire Safety directly with clients, contractors, and inspectors.The ideal candidate understands plans and installations but is primarily focused on execution, coordination, and leadership in the field, not sitting behind a desk producing drawings.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret architectural, mechanical, and construction drawings and specificationsPrepare accurate project estimates and quotationsSolicit and coordinate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractorsAnalyze project requirements and develop competitive bid proposalsNegotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with general contractors and project stakeholdersFollow up on bids and proposals to maximize project awards and close sales opportunitiesSchedule and coordinate equipment purchases, fabrication, and material procurementManage equipment deliveries and ensure materials arrive on scheduleDevelop and maintain project schedules, including installation timelines and job durationsCoordinate labor, subcontractors, and field crews to meet project milestonesMonitor project costs, change orders, and profitabilityCommunicate regularly with contractors, vendors, and customers regarding project statusEnsure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budgetQualificationsExperience in kitchen exhaust systems, HVAC, sheet metal, mechanical contracting, or commercial construction preferredStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specificationsExperience with estimating, project management, procurement, and schedulingProven ability to negotiate contracts and close awarded projectsStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating/project management softwareSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-drivenIf you think you have what it takes please send a copy of your resume and we will reach out to you for an interview if you qualify!
