Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
The Park Inn Hotel is seeking a reliable and experienced Hotel Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our hotel property. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure guest rooms and common areas remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
The ideal candidate has prior hotel or hospitality maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call needs, is preferred.

Full-time or Part-time (based on availability and experience)
Day shift and/or evening shift
Occasional on-call and weekend availability may be required
This is an on-site position
Responsibilities & Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and guest disruption
Inspect the property regularly to identify safety hazards, damage, or repair needs
Repair or replace fixtures, appliances, doors, locks, lighting, drywall, flooring, and furniture
Assist with room turns and inspections to ensure rooms are guest-ready
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance storage areas in a safe and organized manner
Coordinate with management and outside vendors for specialized repairs
Follow all hotel safety procedures and local building codes
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role
Hotel, motel, or hospitality maintenance experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest safety and satisfaction
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, standing, and climbing
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Pay & Benefits
Starting pay: $18.50 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and performance
