Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.\r\nMinimum Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of hardware, software, electrical, systems engineering, or related work experience.\r\nMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of related work experience.\r\nPhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of related work experience.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nOver 15 years of experience in architecting solutions for PCIe, CXL or similar IO technologies.\r\nStrong expertise in IOMMU / SMMU architecture and micro-architecture.\r\nIn-depth understanding of fully coherent and IO coherent protocol flows.\r\nDetailed knowledge of multiprocessor system architecture, memory and IO subsystems, high-speed interconnects, operating systems/hypervisors, platform firmware.\r\nMaster's in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\r\n12+ years in developing IO architecture for high-speed IO like PCIe Gen5-7, CXL2.0-CXL3.0.\r\nExpertise in performance microarchitecture of IO datapath between host and devices.\r\nExpertise in architecture and application of confidential compute technologies like TDISP, IDE and TSP for IO interfaces.\r\nExperience in architecture and development of multi-socket links like UPI, C2C or Infinity fabrics.\r\nEnd-to-end experience with the IO hardware stack from TL (Transport Layer) to PL (Physical Layer).\r\nExperience with ARM ISA and related specifications such as SMMU, CHI, GIC is preferred.\r\nFamiliarity with accelerator technologies like UAL and NVLink is a plus.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nWork with chip architects to understand architecture concepts and high-level requirements.\r\nDefine, document, and deliver IO architecture requirements and solutions for the chip.\r\nCollaborate with IP design and performance teams to optimize the end-to-end solution for PPA trade-offs.\r\nEvangelize and communicate these solutions to silicon, system, and software stakeholders.\r\nParticipate in new product development, understand customer technical requirements, and develop architectural solutions to meet those requirements.\r\nWork with design and verification teams to ensure implementation aligns with specifications.\r\nEqual Employment Opportunity & Accessibility\r\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
