This position will work on complex projects and begin to take ownership of specific features or modules, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.\n\nEssential Duties\nDevelop and enhance features and functionality within ongoing and new development projects using Python, Flask, JavaScript, and other modern technologies\nActively participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance\nWork closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure project success\nConduct code reviews and provide feedback to junior developers, helping maintain high coding standards\nEngage in gathering and analyzing user feedback to improve applications continuously\nContribute to the execution of test plans, debugging, and issue resolution to maintain software quality\nDocument development processes and adhere to team coding standards and best practices\nAssist in the preparation and updating of technical and user documentation\nWork with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver software solutions tailored to their needs\nEnsure that all development work aligns with security and compliance standards relevant to Public Safety\nAssist in deploying web applications to Windows servers, including configuring IIS and setting up services\n\nOther Job Requirements/Information\n\nThis job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting.\nThis job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.\nThis job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.\nGrade\nThe grade for this position is C45(1).
