May perform minor repairs as necessary.Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performedPositions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding deviceCrimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in placeMounts assembled components to boards or unitsMay install multi-level subassemblies and modules into Racks using complex configurationsInstalls finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinetsAssembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches, to assembliesPerforms intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating and color-coding parts and assembliesTends machines that press, shape or wind component partsPerforms online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standardsSets up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawingHandles/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated location on productAdjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristicsAssist in performing repair workCommunicates any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors and/or engineersPerform preventative maintenance on production line machinerySpecialized Responsibilities:Collects data using the SPC chartsFills out returned forms of conforming and nonconforming materials and prepares set up kits for incoming shiftPerforms basic touch up, removal and placement, inspecting own work and the work of others following applicable work instructions and quality proceduresDetects nonconforming defects and their defect codes to enter into shop floor control systemsAssists, instructs and qualifies new operatorsReports deviations from standard procedures to engineering or supervisor and provides inputs on quality improvementsSystems - Assemble complex units for wiring, connecting difference sub-assemblies and nodes into large rack systemsThis is a Full-Time Temp to Hire opportunity.Schedule: Monday - Friday1st shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm2nd shift - 2:30pm - 11:00pmThe ideal candidate will have:High School DiplomaRequires 3 years of electronic assembly or related experienceManual dexterity required for operating machinery and computersGood attention to detailExcellent eye-hand coordination requiredRequires understanding of and ability to use a wide variety of toolsBasic computer skillsMust be able to use a microscope. in addition to possessing basic mechanical skillsDemonstrates basic manufacturing line knowledge and participates in processAbility to read and comprehend simple instructionsAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads and supervisors of the organizationAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
