We solve real-world problems with real hardware.\r\nWe move fast, take ownership, and hold a high bar for execution. We value people who are low ego and team-first, calm under pressure, direct and respectful communicators, willing to roll up their sleeves, and focused on solutions, not drama.\r\nWe operate with high integrity. We do what we say we'll do, we're transparent about risks and tradeoffs, and we build trust through consistent follow-through.\r\nThe work is hands-on. Sometimes messy. Often fast. Always meaningful.\r\nFounded in 2021, Range is led by experienced EV operators from Tesla, Zoox, Honda, and other leading OEMs. We are backed by strong investors and focused on building hardware that fleets will actually use.\r\nIf you like building real things, solving hard problems, and working with low drama, high output teammates, you will fit here.\r\nRole Summary\r\nWe are hiring a Sr. Technical Program Manager to own our Asia supplier relationships end-to-end. This is a high-visibility, high-accountability role at the intersection of hardware development, supply chain, and NPI execution. You will be the primary interface between Range's engineering teams and our Asia-based suppliers — spanning high-voltage harnesses, battery systems, power electronics, and electromechanical assemblies.\r\nSuccess requires deep hardware fluency, the ability to hold suppliers accountable to schedule and quality without sacrificing relationships, and the operational discipline to keep complex multi-tier programs on track. This is not a coordination-only role — you will be expected to understand the technical content, identify risk early, and drive resolution.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nOwn the supplier relationship and program execution for key Asia-based suppliers (e.g., High Voltage Distribution and Power Electronics).\r\nDrive on-time delivery of parts and assemblies aligned to NPI gates, build events, and validation milestones.\r\nMaintain program visibility: track open actions, risks, and deliverables across multiple suppliers in parallel.\r\nLead structured weekly and milestone-based syncs with suppliers; generate clear, action-oriented meeting outputs.\r\nCoordinate engineering changes (ECOs/ECRs) through suppliers — manage communication, timing, and supply continuity impact.\r\nEngage deeply with supplier engineering teams on design requirements and manufacturing feasibility.\r\nIdentify technical risks in supplier processes or designs early and drive structured resolution.\r\nSupport DFM/DFA reviews and manufacturability feedback loops between suppliers and Range engineering.\r\nDrive supplier readiness for prototype, pilot, and production builds — from tooling through FAI through build support.\r\nCoordinate supplier audits, process reviews, and on-site visits as needed.\r\nSupport incoming part quality issues: own containment, root cause, and corrective action with urgency.\r\nServe as the primary liaison between Asia suppliers and Range's engineering, procurement, and operations teams.\r\nProactively communicate status, risks, and program health to internal stakeholders — with appropriate detail and no surprises.\r\nSupport sourcing decisions: RFQ coordination, quote analysis, supplier selection inputs, and make/buy trade-offs.\r\nCollaborate with Range's PLM and NPI teams to ensure part release, revision control, and change management are synchronized with supplier status.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n5+ years of technical program or supplier management experience in a hardware-intensive industry (automotive, EV/HEV, aerospace, industrial electronics, or similar).\r\nDemonstrated track record managing Asia-based suppliers — particularly in China — through NPI and into production.\r\nWorking knowledge of HV/EV powertrain systems, including HV batteries, power electronics, electrical distribution.\r\nExperience driving supplier accountability through milestone gates, corrective actions, and continuous improvement — not just relationship management.\r\nComfortable traveling to supplier sites in Asia (estimated 20–30% travel, variable by program phase).\r\nExceptional written and verbal communication — able to write clear, structured program updates and hold productive, efficient meetings.\r\nProficient with PLM concepts (BOMs, ECO/ECR workflows, lifecycle states) and program management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, MS Project, or equivalent).\r\nLanguage Requirement: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written) is required for this position. This requirement exists because a substantial portion of this role involves direct communication with Mandarin-speaking customers/partners/stakeholders. Candidates must be able to conduct meetings, prepare written materials, and provide service in both languages.\r\nExperience with Class 8 truck/trailer systems, freight electrification, or heavy-duty vehicle programs.\r\nBackground in power electronics, battery systems, or thermal management hardware.\r\nExperience using 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, or similar PLM/CAD platforms for supplier coordination workflows.\r\nPrior work at a hardware startup or in a rapid-iteration NPI environment with limited process infrastructure.\r\nKnowledge of export control, customs, and cross-border logistics considerations for hardware supply chains.\r\nRange Energy's compensation package includes a competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, and a generous benefits package. The salary range for Mountain View, CA based applicants is between $175,000 - $245,000 annually. The total compensation will be determined based on multiple factors including domain knowledge, experience and location.\r\n\r\n-\r\n\r\nRange Energy participates in E-Verify in the United States. Range Energy will provide the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.\r\nJ-18808-Ljbffr","company":"Range Energy","rawCompany":"range energy","city":"Mountain View","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-06-28T01:12:39.310Z","occupations":[{"code":"13-1082.00","title":"Project Management Specialists","slug":"project-management-specialists"},{"code":"15-1299.09","title":"Information Technology Project Managers","slug":"information-technology-project-managers"},{"code":"11-3071.04","title":"Supply Chain Managers","slug":"supply-chain-managers"}],"industries":[{"code":"336110","title":"Automobile and Light Duty Motor Vehicle Manufacturing","slug":"automobile-and-light-duty-motor-vehicle-manufacturing"},{"code":"336211","title":"Motor Vehicle Body Manufacturing","slug":"motor-vehicle-body-manufacturing"},{"code":"336320","title":"Motor Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Equipment Manufacturing","slug":"motor-vehicle-electrical-and-electronic-equipment-manufacturing"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Sr. Technical Program Manager","description":"About Range Energy\r\nRange Energy builds powered trailers that help electrify heavy-duty trucking without requiring fleets to replace their tractors.
